Most famous of armored dinosaurs,
he’s even appeared with movie stars,
chasing Fay Raye in the film King Kong.
A prehistoric nightmare?  Wrong!

 

Miss Raye would not have had to cower.
His fastest speed: five miles an hour.
Five-ton body, three-ounce brain,
he liked to stand out in the rain

 

and feed on rocks and ferns. A question:
why swallow rocks?  To aid digestion
of two hundred pounds of plants a day.
Stegosaurus a killer?  No way!
